DEATH BESTIES — “WE’RE GOING THERE” WORKSHOP
Participant Registration Agreement:By registering and completing payment, you (“Participant” or “you”) agree to the following terms with Colleen English coaching (“Company,” “we,” “us”), which is providing this workshop in partnership with Meghan Clifford, PsyD.
1. WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
Death Besties: “We’re Going There” is a 3-session, educational workshop exploring conversations around death. Sessions take place Tuesdays, August 4, 11, and
18, 2026, 7:00 PM Central Time, via Zoom, 60 minutes each. Content includes psychoeducation about responses to death-related topics, group reflection, and live discussion.
2. NOT THERAPY OR CLINICAL TREATMENT
Participant acknowledges and agrees that:
a) This workshop is educational in nature. It is not psychotherapy, counseling, medical treatment, psychological or neuropsychological services or crisis intervention, and does not diagnose, treat, or claim to treat any mental health conditions.
b) No psychologist-patient, therapist-client, doctor-patient, or other legally protected clinical relationship is established between Participant and either facilitator, or with the Company, through participation in this workshop.
c) Meghan Clifford is a licensed psychologist. In this workshop, she serves as a co-facilitator and educator only. Her involvement does not convert this workshop into a clinical service, and her professional license does not extend to Participant in this context.
d) Colleen English is a trauma-informed life coach. Her involvement does not convert this workshop into personalized coaching.
e) This workshop, including any exercises, is not a substitute for individual therapy, trauma treatment, or medical care. Participant is encouraged to continue working with their own healthcare or mental health providers, and to consult them before participating if participant is currently in a mental health crisis, or is uncertain whether this format is appropriate for them.
3. VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Participant is voluntarily choosing to participate in a workshop that involves discussion of death, mortality, grief, and related emotional content. Participant acknowledges that this subject matter may bring up difficult emotions, memories, or reactions, and voluntarily assumes this risk. Participant is solely responsible for their own emotional, physical, and mental well-being before, during, and after the workshop, and for seeking their own professional support if needed.
4. EMERGENCY AND CRISIS SUPPORT
This workshop does not include crisis intervention, emergency response, or on-call support between or after sessions. If Participant is experiencing a mental health emergency, having thoughts of harming themselves or others, or needs immediate support, Participant should contact 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, go to their nearest emergency room, or utilize other crisis resources available to them. The Company and facilitators are not able to monitor communications in real time or provide real-time crisis response.
5. GROUP FORMAT AND CONFIDENTIALITY
a) This is a live group workshop. Participant understands that other participants and facilitators may share personal reflections, stories, or experiences during sessions.
b) Participant agrees to keep confidential anything shared by other participants during sessions, including personal stories, identities, and any sensitive material discussed, and will not disclose or share this information outside the workshop.
c) Participant understands that group settings cannot guarantee the same level of confidentiality as an individual clinical relationship, and that the Company and facilitators cannot control or be responsible for other participants’ conduct or disclosures outside the group.
d) Limits on facilitator confidentiality: Because Meghan Clifford is a licensed psychologist and mandated reporter under Minnesota law, if she becomes aware during the workshop of a situation involving abuse of a child, elderly, or disabled person, or an imminent risk of harm to Participant or others, she may be legally required to report this to appropriate authorities, regardless of the non-clinical nature of this workshop.
6. SESSIONS VIA ZOOM / ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION
Sessions are held via Zoom. While reasonable precautions are taken, electronic platforms are not 100% secure, and the Company cannot guarantee the privacy or security of any communication or session content. Participant participates with this understanding. Recording sessions is not allowed.
7. PAYMENT AND REFUNDS
a) The workshop fee is $250 USD, due in full at registration.
b) REFUND POLICY: All sales are final.
c) In the event the Company must cancel or reschedule a session, Participant will be notified as soon as possible or partial refund at the Company’s discretion.
8. NO GUARANTEE OF OUTCOMES
The Company and facilitators make no guarantees regarding Participant’s personal outcomes, emotional experience, or results from participating in this workshop. Results and experiences vary based on individual circumstances.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company, Colleen English, and Meghan Clifford shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, emotional, or special damages arising from Participant’s participation in this workshop. Should any claim nonetheless arise, total liability is limited to the amount Participant paid for the workshop.
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All workshop materials, exercises, frameworks, and recordings are the property of the Company and facilitators and are provided for Participant’s personal use only. Participant agrees not to record (beyond any Company-provided recording), reproduce, distribute, or use workshop materials for any commercial purpose without written permission.
11. ELIGIBILITY
This workshop is intended for adults 18 years of age or older. By registering, Participant confirms they meet this requirement.
12. AGREEMENT
With payment, Participant confirms they have read, understood, and agree to this Agreement.
